what are these mounts for? i haven't seen them on any othere sierra diffs before.
its a wt front diff i'm pulling down. just can't work out why they are there.

it is the pinion mount for the front diff out of a vitara + it looks like an alloy pinion carrier  ( not the strongest material )

Just had a look at my car its a vit front diff center and no its not turned upside down

its a vit centre in its normal position. slap whoever put that in across the head as that housing will not last 10min in a sierra.

went and had a closer look and the center looks to be alloy so the center prob has the 5.12 gears or what every they are.
it lasted pretty well, the guy i got it of has twisted the diff up and back, was running 33, 6.5 gears... if you have some machanical sympathy you will be shocked how long things last. i'm not saying they are strong just its lasted for him. i wont run one
