Good work on trying something different. The original cluster doesnt look the best though. A set of aftermarket gauges would look good.

Yeah, to get a full set of gauges was gonna be like $600 though, and I'm a uni student , plus i could spend that money on better upgrades

Not sure if it is applicable mate but for road worthy you need to have a demister.

Aluminium, got it folded up by a mate, cost me a bottle of sambucca
I'm currently working a solution to the demister, I've left the orginial heater in for the moment with no ducting attached, just need to work out some new ducting.

Required to have a crash pad also, hence why dashes are typically made out of crap plastic.

Exactly as Trojan said, im pretty sure (at least here in Vic), you need to keep the same amount of padding on the dash as what originally came in the vehicle, i will try and find the ADR

just argue that its thin aluminium and "the stock plastic was really strong"... youll be right =p
I agree on the guages - even just cutting circular holes would have looked better - but still, its nice and clean to say the least!

Yeah because everyone else's Sierra is totally legal and safe and you don't want to put yourself at risk now do you.
Tyres 6" bigger then standard
Extended shackles
SPOA
Incorrect internal and external barwork
Internal barwork that doesn't have correct padding
Insufficient indicators
etc etc etc
and we're giving this guy grief about his dash

Im not up on the road rules, but you still fall under the 2nd edition ADR's as yours was built after 1/73 for ADR21. Does 2nd edition ADR's still apply?

Not my cup of tea but each to their own.
Did you completly remove the old dash?
At the end of the day if you have any problems, you take it out an put the standard one back.

Fair call.

You'd be surprised what your body does in an accident. It can bend ways you could never imagine.
