Ok ok here i am [/quote]

ill give you a tip from a sheety whose had a bit of practice of sanding off welds on s/s handrails. when sanding welds off on mandrel bends turn your grinder the other way youll get it heaps neater and less flat spots. awesome job though i likes it very much. different from all the rear bars i have seen.

Good job on the bar. What are the lifting eyelets rated at? They really should be over 5t if you plan to use them as recovery points.

It allows him to run standard height shackles but gives him the effects
of using extended shackles. Does that make sense? :?

No, it doesn't.. All it does is lift the car. The only thing that gives the benefits of longer shackles IS LONGER SHACKLES.

my bad... I just thought that instead of lifting the car
Using longer shackles, he can pack up the standard mount.

Having that block there will change the shackle angle, potentially giving the shackle a larger range of motion when the spring flexes downwards, providing that the springs and shocks allow it...

Sorry to drag your thread off topic Alex.

Ben: Putting that spacer in has only lowered the spring/raised the car as it is still in the original position.
IF it were moved forward your theory would be correct, it would induce more static shackle angle and more droop... But it's not forward.
