hi, my rings are gone in my lil 91 sierra 1.3.
Been lookin at doin a conversion but a bit picey.
Now wondering if any1 has rebuilt the 1.3?
If so what it cost and where?

hey mate...


i recently rebuilt mine

set me back about 800 for
rebuild gasket set
rings
big end bearings
main bearings
bore and deck the block
reco the head
timing belt
rear main seal
water pump
oil and filter
and some other stuff i probably forgot


they are cheap and easy to rebuild.

hey mate

mine only had 128k's on it before it shit a piston. ended up setting me back around 600 for new pistons, rings, mains, big ends, bearings, only thing i didn't change was the waterpump. Was working fine, DONT TOUCH IT

Anyway, whole rebuild only took the full weekend although with the low k's i only had to re seat the valves and gave it a light hone.

if it sounds like too much work and effort, you can prob get a 2nd handy for half the price. swapping it over is a piece of piss but you just wanna make sure the engine your putting in is good enough.
