Maxxis Bighorns or Trapadors?

Simple enough. haha, also, is $202 for a 31x10.5r15 Bighorn a decent price or can you get better cheaper?

bighorn is easily the beter of the two in sizes under 35's imo , ive had both in 30 x 9.5 15
after that you can get sticky comp treps and they look the goods

I got quoted $190 for 31" bighorns from bob jane about 6months
ago. & go treps... they ROCK.

Bighorn = best tyre anywhere near that money IMHO. I think I payed around $180-190 for the 31x10.5 15.



I could not be happier with mine, they are great everywhere. There only real weakness would be in very deep mud, but even then they are good. I run 22-25psi on the highway, and around 10psi in the bush. They are fairly quiet on the highway, and handle fairly well too (this was a surprise).

never owned either but have seen both in real life and bighorns look to me as the ones that would perform better in mud, but that's just my opinion.

i found the treps were a bit nicer on the road but the bighorns better everywhere else (in vic that is, mostly mud and clay)

Go the Bighorns, I have the Mudzillas and I wished I had have gone with the bighorns. Also, don't get a directional tyre unless it is specificly for mud. Great in the mud but they suck everywhere else.

stt is not even in the same legue, stt should nearly be an all terrain

i dunno - the STT has a closer pattern, but not by much.. i know my STTs were good in loose mud but terrible in clay, i reckon bighorns would be only marginally better.

after the weekend and seeing how some different tyres performed in the wet clay i cant recomend the silverstone MT117 Extremes enough. Im only rear locked and i made it up hills easier thand twin locked sierras on different tyres. some didnt even get clost to making it...

In dry rocks they still go ok but something with more treads would grip better but we hardly wheel when its totally dry down here.
