Hi, after several idling issues with my sierra, ive decided to rebuild the carby. I have 2 carbies to turn into 1. Problem is, the second carby that i got the other day is slighlty different.
What is the electronic thing in the pictures. Mine had 2 wires, but the other (that i plan on using) has 1 wire. I have a 3 pin connector in the car.
I joined by wire colours and left 1 pin disconnected at engine connector and it seemed to idle (sort of) but just wanted to check.
Cheers.

cheers. Once i removed this and seen the head on it, it made me think that shes stuffed. which explains why the sierra wont idle (or sometimes idles) but drives ok. I actually connected the positive (black) wire (from the 1 wire one) to the black wire in the 3 pin connector. So your saying it needs to be black to white in the connector??

Anti Dieseling solenoid. Needs to be powered up when the ignition is on, then off when the ignition is off.
It is an electromagnet, so will probably still work even if you wire it the wrong way round...
