Ok my 93 Lwb Jlx vitara doesnt have a lever to open the door to the fuel cap? :?
I think it should have, it says in the owners manual outer front edge of the drivers seat. It has the retractable black pin inside the cap opening but its definetly missing a spring for the lid also. The fact its flush and has no lip with a bulge to slide finger underneath also makes me think it should open from inside the car.
I rang the previous owner and he sayed when he first filled it up he couldnt find it and got the service station worker to look to no avail, he then rang where he got it from and they didnt know :?
My thoughts are maybe the seats have been changed to jx seats at some strage?

Cheers

Should be on the floor between the seat & the sill.
Could be under the carpet.

sell it, you bought a lemon....

there is a raised section that runs from the outer seat rail to the inner seat rail, where the front of the seat bolts to... it should be on the pedal side of the raised section & near the outer seat rail.

may seem stupid but have you tried to just open it with your hands? may have broken and they just dodged it up.

Yes you can but its bending it like the previous owner has been, its not meant to be opened that way though.
I dont need to put fuel in it yet, the previous owner gave me a 3/4 full tank!

yeah i noticed that when i looked at your build pictures, thats why i asked lol. well if worse comes to worse and you want a cheap fix you could get yourself a lockable one like the SWB models have if its expensive to fix it to its original set up.
