I'm going to bleed my hydrolic clutch on Monday as the pedal feel is a little irregular (has been for a little while). That and I'm hoping it may help with the noisey thrust bearing issue I still have where the bearing seems to be skimming the release fingers when the clutch is out (it has been that way since a new clutch kit went in and it has had a new bearing added since under warrenty to try to fix the problem). Damn thing squeels like a pig and it isn't getting any better with time or kms as some people suggested it might.

My question is, is there a preferred bleed method for the Vitaras? I was going to try a reverse bleed (pushing fluid in and up from the bottom slave cylinder) as well as evacuating the slave cylinder by pushing in the ram pin. Some people say this is the most effective way to remove the air. Others just do it via a gravity bleed.

Any recommendations/opinions from those that have done it before I get stuck into it on the weekend?

8mm or 10mm spanner, a bottle of fluid, take your cap off, fill it up, crack the bleeder until fluid comes out & watch the fluid dribble out till it changes color & your done.
If that don't get the result's you after, bleeder closed, get the cat to depress the peddle & crack the bleeder, watch out for your eye's & mouth tho cause you are about to have high pressure brake fluid being pushed out the bleeder.
