Hey all i bought some Silverstone extremes really cheap, but i need rims that have the correct offset so they dont rub on the springs.
iv searched here and on outers for what other people have but i didn't have much luck.
So i'm after people that have these tyres on their sierras i'd like to know

what brand rim?

Where they can be bought from?

What size eg 15x7 or 15x8?

This info would be much appreciated

hey mate i have these on 15x7 -15 geco rims with slight rubbing on springs

15x7" speedy's; think they are -17 offset. Lugs touch the springs on full lock on my WT Sierra. Clears the springs on my LJ80. Bought them from a local tyre shop for $45 each just over 2 years ago.

I don't have silverstones, but i used to have 15x7's for my goodyear wrangler 31s and they hit the springs pretty bad. I got some gecko 15X8's with -23 offset and now there's no scrubbing at all. So if you dont want them to hit, probably go 15x8's (gecko, speedy, king, etc). Keep in mind, it may shorten the life of your wheelbearings though

don't worry about wheel bearings...I ran 15x8s with -30 offset with no probs for years....but I did check and repack at least once a year.

no bearing issues here either and ive got 34s on 15X8 with -50 offset

I put one extreme on one of my lj50 rims(sunrasia style, offset and brand unknown ?) and it only hits the spring on full lock turning left, the lug that sticks out (every second one) hits the spring by about 5mm other then that it was all good so i've come up with these two options

1Cut the offending lugs slightly to clear the spring
2 buy new rims with either -23 or -15 offset

Any thoughts ?

So is this on an LJ50?

May or may not help, but if it is an LJ diff, make sure it has the longer headed bolts that hold the felt seal on, in the right place. My Lj80 had them in the wrong place, and the tyre rubbed, and I also broke a CV (may have been related to excessive turning circle, I am not sure).
The long head bolts should be at the back of the knuckle, on the higher of the two back holes.

I also put a set of these on my Sierra to stop the tyres rubbing; although I have lost some turning circle...

No they are going on my sierra i just used a rim off my lj50 to see if it was going to work with them rims

i use speedy 15x7's on mine with 31x10.5... i prefer the narrower rim for better bead pressure and a slightly skinnier sidewall =)
