my cousin has an airbox set up for high airflow, he used for his turbo v6 cruiser, but couldnt supply enough air for that, but im thinking it should be more than enough for a sierra. best thing is its all completely waterproof, perfect for when i finally get a snorkel. only problem i can see is the two vacuum hoses that run to the airbox... mainly the one that runs to the side of the carby. can it be run to somewhere else, am i going to need to make a small hole in the airbox, or is there nothing i can do but to leave the stock airbox in place....

that was just for the switch over in cold weather on the stock airbox, pull it off and plug it at the manifold

which one? theres one that joins from the airbox to the junction connecting the two intakes, and theres the one that wraps around the airbox and connects to the carby or intake manifold, one of them, cant remember off top of my head...

It's all part of the same system. Plug it at the manifold as suggested and pull it all out

really?... it idles really rough if i pull the one off the manifold... so plugging it will make it run smooth? il have to try this... thanks!

It run's rough because you've just made a huge vacuume leak, plugging it will fix said leak, making it run properly.

ok. i just assumed that with the one way valve there in the hose it would act as a plug assuming nothing was making any suction from the end pulled off the airbox...
