I'm looking to by some Sunraysia Rims 15x7 for my 90 Vitara. They will be fitted with 30 x 9.5 x 15 tyres. I have done a bit of reading on forums but still have a few questions;

1) What brands are best or worst?

2) What offset is good or common? I've see -16, is that too much?

3) Is there a cheap place in Canberra or Online that have good rims? I've seen Pro Comp but unsure on prices etc.

1. Decision on best or worse normally depends on price. procomp etc are expensive for what you can buy generic sunrasier. King wheels or speedy

2. I am not sure on a vit.

3. Shop around. Get a number of phone numbers of tyre places around you, and ring each one. I rang 7 to get them at $75 a rim i think. 15x8 -28 kingwheels. I also bought new tyres. Blairs tyres at Narellan. 3 hrs from you i think

what lift u running on the vit and wat size rubber

+10 keep 31 inside the guards when the rear is flexed up
and i think thats the most u can go legaly
the more offset u go the more work to make them fit and ur wheel bearing and struts will flog out quick

Neg offset is never a bad thing, just buy rubber flares from Clark Rubber, it's like $10-16 a meter depending how big you want

i run -12 15x7 with 30's and the lip just cuts into my tyres.. so i wouldn't go any further, on flat ground they sit around 50mm out of the guards.

Thanks guys, went with some 15x7 Sunraysia King rims with a -13 offset so they sit out about an inch or so. Will need to get some rubber flares. Ended up paying $67.75 each from Jax.

They rub a bit on the plastic wheel wells inside at full turn so I'll go for a 2" body lift next. Or just adjust the plastic. Here are some pics!

Thought about it. Would have cost me about the same to sandblast and powdercoat them, as it would for new rims. Plus I have a spare set to switch too if needed.

if its the front fire wall that hits
i pulled the plastic off
cut outerguard to suit then bent a lip back on it
bashed iner guard lip flap then reatached plastic
it looks factory from outside

Its the plastic strip that goes around the inside of the wheel well that is the main problem it seems.
I can see it is melting away from the few times i've turned to have the wheel rubbing.
Thinking about taking your advice and about bending it back and reattaching it.
See how i go.

Cheers Kaner! Yeah no more "slicks" for me. Might be able to hit the wet clay without fishtailing it the whole way!
