they arnt being negative champ they are simply stating the obvious a set of wide track diffs alone go for the price your looking at for a whole car. but keep an eye out you may luck out and find one but good luck.

it all depends on how long you wanna wait mate.
theres was a WT here that was free about 6 months ago, no rego and pretty beat up but still it was FREE!
Having said that it lasted all of 2 minutes on the local 4x4 forum before someone swooped on it.

...as a rough guide, all vehicles in fair drivable original condition without roadworthy/saftey certificates would command....
all SWB models
a 1 lt sierra - $1000-2000
a 1.3 ltr NT sierra - $1500 - 2700
a 1.3 ltr WT sierra - $2000 - $3000
long wheel base and hard top models differ a bit
if a vehicle has been modified and it is all done well and would get a saftey cert without too much hassle is between the buyer and the seller.

I just bought one of these. a 94 hard top, with a nice vit motor
and muddies. $500. I also bought a 85 high top for $200. Both with
rego.
Good deals are out there, you just gotta now where to look.

I bought a 90 WT 1.3L with a blown headgasket for a case of Crown Lager a few months back..
It still ran, had a little rust in the sills though.. And 3months rego
Removed the WT diffs+axles, tailshafts, doors, bonnet, and other bits.. Sold the Alloy Bullbar and Xfer Case for $250
Just keep your eyes open, easy
