Any ideas what it is for what I should connect it to?

The two on one side goes to the dizzy and charcoal canister. The other side goes to a solenoid towards the front of the motor.
I've got pics I'll try and load heaps easier to follow. Won't be long.

Two going to #19 to dizzy and #27 to canister
The other one #18 going forwards along rocker cover.
The forward one goes here below the thermosat .
Hope this helps.

Just block the second one off.
I assume (i may be wrong) your drover doesnt have a carbon canister and vents the fuel tank breather to atmosphere.
The second plug which runs to the carbon canister is solely for emission purposes.

Interestingly I have this happening with a G16A Vitara - just had the carby rebuilt and noticed it last night that when the headlights are on the idle is all over the place. What turned out to be the fix?

There is a small vacuum pot at the front of the carby. When the headlights or other electrical load is applied vacuum is applied to this pot. This pulls the idle up throttle stop in, raising the idle. Get a mate to switch the headlights on as its running. Watch at the front of the carby and you should see the little lever pull in. If it idles really high, adjust the stop down and vice versa. ~800rpm is correct for electrical load on, and ~700rpm for no load. (from memory, im sure if im wrong someone will point it out).

When engine is at normal op temp, the choke should be wide open (straight up and down)
