hi all I have developed a pretty nasty coolant leak over the last few days, And i think i may have found the issue but due to locations of coolant through out engine bay im having second thoughts.

in these two images i outlined three spots of coolant on the HT leads, oil cap and bonnet, and in the other image i drew arrows onto some pipe to see if i have the direction of flow correct, followed buy a semicircle of where i think i found a leak.

But as u will see in the images the leak apears to be coming from under the intake manifold so i cant see how it would get up to the HT leads oil cap etc.

i looked at the freshly installed collant pipes on the carby and they are definatly not leaking. so im a bit stumped as to if there is another location i should be looking.

Oh yeah and the other thing it only started once i put the heater on thats why i think that its comming from the second photo, but only i have direction of flow circled corectly.

Hope that all makes sence

Jordan

When you are driving, there may be an updraft that sprays coolant around a bit.

As for the leak, check the head gasket, and where the manifold attach to the block.

fill it up and run it with teh bonnet open and watch where it leaks from, no way you can get coolant up there and not be able to spot the source once its under pressure
