Ever tried getting the transfer case shifter out. It can be a prick of a job. I was having a bastard time getting mine back in today so made this.

It is a little flimsy so it bends a bit when putting pressure on the locking ring. I just need to tack weld the cuts where the bends are, once i've done that it should be good.

Took me 10 mins  the metal was a pice of scrap (the sides were folded like that), I just used a step drill for the big hole, a hacksaw and pair of pliers.

never thought about doing one in the vehicle. Suppose having 4 transfer cases lying around I just pull the whole thing out

I usually pull the shifter out so getting it back in the car is easier. Having the roctoy ring on it made it really difficult to fit, so much so that I am going to have a look at modifying it or the tunnel to make working on it easier.

Ummmm....

What may i ask is wrong with two screw drivers?

I have even managed on the side of a track to unscrew the shift boot screws with the ignition key and remove the transfer shifter by hand and use the jack handle to get a stuck transfer out of neutral.....

Are you bored or just a soft cock? :P

Two screwdrivers has worked for me plenty of times....... but the tool Damo made would work a lot easier.
