ok all, thanks for the advice on lockers, now im after opinion on the most popular/best (even though they are often not the same!!!!!!!!!) springs to use to lift my zook, im definitely NOT interested in drop shackles before anyone suggests them, thanks anyway.

Theres never going to be a definite answer on the "best" lifts. It's all up to the person and they're style of driving. Some of us like lower and centered, others like to run SPOA and big amounts of lift.

best bet is;

2" lifted Old Man Emu springs in the rear,
they are nice a flexy once settled in and you can get a few different weight ratings depending on what you wanna use the car for.

Standard rear springs in the front with 30mm extended shackles,
equates to 2'' lifted so sits level with the back and the rears are a longer spring which gives you alot more flex, and softer and more comfortable ride

This known as RUF (rears up front) and most of the guys on here will tell you its the best thing you can do for your suspension
the brand of spring you use in the rears is really up to you, but thats what I'm gonna use to lift mine on a few months time,

You will need to do a bit of research surrounding RUF as there are a few different ways to do it, full RUF, half RUF etc. There have been quite a few threads already discussing RUF and suspension so search them cause they will have the answers your looking for

have a look in want33's build for a simple, yet effective half RUF, or alex's build for the full RUF.

If you are interested, the rectangular lights of the Drover front clip allow more tyre clearance- the bottom edge of the headlight is higher, so once the inner guard is cut there's more clearance.

I don't mind the drover clip myself. Sure, it's no 1.0 litre or Coiler, but it's no worse than a NT. The added tyre clearance is just a bonus.

more clearance is always a good thing, but the drover front just looks like shit in my opinion, if I had found a sierra around the same time would have went for that, I know a lot of people dont like the high top but I kinda do, its gonna look cool with big rubber & BL & spring lift, etc, I might even get ambitious & make a grill for it from scratch who knows

lilwagon can offer some advice on using spare flares for this purpose. Although if you are going down the flaming route, use '89 upwards flares.
