does anyone know if the head on the LJ50 where mill finish or polished

You mean the gasket face? Straight from the mill to the gasket.

no, the up side of the head, the part you see, i would like to have looking as original as i can.

thanks for that, i had seen some polished, but wasn't sure if that was standard.
