ok installed new gears and bearings in my transfer case oiled it up installed great!low 1st out driveway wicked.put in high 2, round the block!err i used recomended oil from trail gear but im getting a whine in 1st 2nd and 3rd(its not a big block no call for 4th and 5th)so got it home put transfer in neutral then went through the gears whine in all worse in 4th and 5th any advice would be appreciated

1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th gears are in the gerarbox not the transfer so maybe by rebuilding the transfer you can now hear noises that were there beforehand.

so by putting transfer in nuetral and going through the gears ifi still hear the noise it would mean the gearbox is rooted or on its way??dont the gears still spin in transfer if in nuetral?

Yeah your tcase will still spin when in neutral. Everyone gets a whine from the tcase When they put gears in, but it can be solved by shimming the input and output shafts. Mine whined like crazy till I recently shimmed it and now it's fine. Also try some thicker oil. I'm using 85w140 limited slip diff oil and it reduces the noise a fair bit too
