Ok recently me and superduki rebuilt my gearbox, long and the short of is is..
we are using the coily gearset in a NT housing.. my housing was trashed.

issues are..

the gearbox is nearly locked up.. its turnable but only just.. MASIVE strain on motor in nutral (drops about 500rpm at idel when u pull the clutch out)

and the shifter rails, all of them are... well basicly seased.. we have got them to move a little bit with bruit force but yeah...

any ideas guys?

Coil sierras had slightly different ratios for at least some gears. Did you measure both gearsets to ensure they were exactly the same size?

Went together very smoothly?? Do u rotate the input shaft and check gear selection before you put it in your car? Pull it out again and check if all teh bearings are full seated. I had a tight box because of this.

Tight!! IF the engine drops by 500rpm as you said it would be freaking tight. Musta had a good grip on that input shaft to turn it over. What gear was it in when it appeared fine?
