so when i was out yesterday i lost drive to my front wheels, got it home and had a look and relised that what i think is my front drive shaft just resting there not connected to my transfercase.
Just wondering how do i fix it? And any parts i might need? I might of got some terms wrong as im no mechenic also!

could be a few things, from a broken uni joint, snapped flange, etc etc. by 'resting' what is it resting on? if you can, pics would be a big help

Check that you didnt just lose the bolts holding it onto the flange. I've had mine vibrate out before.

Yep it's a broken uni joint....
I wouldn't be surprised if the ears are bent and the entire thing needs replacing.

I had that happen to my tail shaft while doing 60kph... the rear flange bolts must have loosened over time, and when the last one went, the car vibrated like crazy for about 20 meters, then it flicked the tail shaft up and it jammed between the muffler and the car body... was about 200m from bunnings so i walked down the road and bought 4 new bolts and was on the road again.

Yeah i think it is pretty bent, do you have parts for me jas?
Really keen to gget this fixed as i want to go to di tommorow arvo and dont want to rely on 2wd the whole time.
