As the title suggests I recently snapped my sky manufactoring anti wrap bar in half. It snapped the outer tube of the twist and slid. Just wondering if anyones had similar issues or has suggestion how to make it stronger or improve the design??

If you were close, i would of made u a new one..

Make a new one so it doesnt twist that last 100mm, then brace the whole lot.

So have the internal tube go further in?

I think what happened: The solid bar was turning left and right, as well as up and down when extended, bending the tube at the weak point.

I would fix it this way, Original solid crossmember end, New bottom end.
So no matter where it is in the tube, the tube will not bend.


Then wait for the next breakage..

do that and make the slip bit as long as possible so its contacting more of the inner tube...

it was leverage that broke it.
