ha ha yeah i get it going then its one thing or another.

beent rying to source another one but not having much luck.

my auto choke doesnt work either.

if anyone can get it sorted and tuned it would be sweet other wise i think i will just book itin to suzistore.

the issues now are that

1) wont idle now

2) back fires like a mother F*&*er

3) fuel economy is poo poo again

4) no auto choke

i had a mechanic attempt to fix and they messed around with all the mixture screws etc and now its worse than ever but im just not mechanically minded to have a crack at fidling with the screws etc.

i replaced the spark plugs and oil 2 days ago which is when it stopped idiling.

i have also tried blasting the carby with cleaner and the rag trick to see if it was blocked but no luck.

all of the above is your choke's fault. except the idling - sounds like you put the leads on in the wrong order =)

suzistore sent me to a guy in morley, can't remember their name and don't know if theyre still there, but 7 bennett st morley - just off russell st.

Personally i'd see about converting it to a manual choke... i have mine rebuilt 3 or 4 times before ditching it for a weber with manual choke. In the end my chokes were lasting around 6-9months!

Why not just take it to Suzistore, and let them have a play, they worked wonders on my Vit with a Carby, if its buggered, they have their own wreck yard, i am sure they would have a better 2nd hand one... worth a try...

I have a webber on suziblu, no choke, she works beaut, we are in very similar temp zones, so should be the same.

I get in, hit the throttle twice, hit the key, first compression she fires into life, coffs once or twice, then settles down, I give her a couple of revs, and away. Thats in the winter, in the summer, throttle, key, start, go.

I cannot believe the difference in the power between the stock carb and the webber, I have suziblu with stock gears and 31s, and a stock LWB with 215s, as its a NT lwb 1l, (now having the 1.3l) lower diff gears and transmission, and suziblu kiks its arse at bottom end, no trying even.

webber again is just too much money over putting money into the zuk

thinking the carby needs a complete tune as every scew and adjuster has been messed with!!!!

no idea how to and not paying another person to stuff it up more so i think its time to just find another carby

Mate have you checked your timing? Mine was running terribly for months untill i fixed my timing. They all work in together, so if your timing isn't right, and you have even small problems with your carb, you'll get big issues. Mine used to either not idle, or idle at around 2200rpm, and both were solved by fixing the timing and adjusting the idle and air mix screws.
Your choke is probably screwed as well, as is mine, but i always let my car warm up anyway so it isn't a problem

Choke is for sure dead as the flap inside carby does it's own thin is under no tension

They only charged me 1hrs labour to do my Carby on my old Vit, they tune it cold, then hot, adjust timing, and away you go, easy, only $80 !

Believe it or not there is 2 just around the corner from each other. I have been to both and the last time was the carby exchange I think, he stripped it back to remove all the choke, idle up shit basically all the crap that goes wrong on it and it works a treat now.
