I just converted a jimny gearbox to suit a sierra ,to do this you need to swap the selectors from a sierra box, the jimny gearbox has a circlip on the back of the 5th speed cog which the sierra doesn't have ImageImage I machined the sierra housing to suit and good to goImageImage

Good work mate. Excuse my ignorance, but why? Is there any advantages?

Cool!

Do you have pictures of the original Jimny selector housing for a point of comparison?

Cheers for that!

I've never seen a good picture of one before.
Was wondering if using a Jimny rear housing on a Sierra gearbox might yield a better shifter position for use in an LJ (as compared to just whacking a Sierra 5 speed in one). Looks as if it might be OK :?
