I think that you will need a second one for the bonnet. Not because it won't hold the weight, but because the bonnet is so flimsy

That would bugger your bonnet when you "attempted" to close it, 2 would be just as bad.
Use it to hold you tailgate open..

How many NM of force does it have? this will determine what application it will be suitable for.

If you have a swingaway tyre carrier, use it for that to limit how far it opens. Speaking of which i need a short one for that reason if anyone has one

i would say rear door if ur gunna put it somewhere, just i find it much easier to work on the zook if the bonnet is right back up against the window, more light and room, but thats just my opinion, tyre carrier idea seems fairly practical but you would have to fab up a carrier if u havent already done so

Cheers for the input fellas. I'll probably mount it to the rear door as I'm probably going to fab up a fold away table/bench for camping. If I had a swing away spare, i'd definately use it for that.

Bog, it doesn't have a NM of force measurement on the strut, but it takes nearly all my weight (68-70kg), to compress it.
