Ive been looking at new gears, around $800-$1000 just for gears. Does anyone know how much a transmission place would charge to fit them? I just thought thought i mite be able to find a complete set in a case so i just had to bolt it on.

TAS to NSW freight for $75. Perhaps you and jonno could go halves on the costs.
Have a think about it mate. They don't come up for sale very often.

direct from lowrange i the states they are about 645 delivered... from locktup over in perth they are 699 delivered for the same gears. plus then you have to fit them.. i wouldnt pay any more then 350 to fit them.. so shop around when it comes to getting them installed.
i ordered mine from locktup.. mainly because if i do have any problems they are an australian company that i am dealing with, so if i have drama with them then i only have to send them to perth and not back to the states.
when i called them to chat about my options, they were really great to deal with with aswell.

6.5? or 4.9? i like the idea of 6.5s, but that seems fairly low geared. Ive never been in a zuk with that kind of gearing, so unsure of what to expect.

what tyres are you running??
i run 31s and are using 6.5s.. i thought they were to low in the beginning..
but now i have wheeled with them i love them..
plus they give me the option to later on run a 32 or a 33 inch tyre when offroad and they have a lifetime warranty
