When i put the clutch in it squeals similar to a fan belt, any ideas what it could be? i spend a fair bit of time in water...

gearbox out type of jobbie, you might as well put a new clutch kit in while it's out.

And if you do get a new clutch, have your flywheel machined,and change the rear main seal and spigot bearing while the flywheel is off.

lol this is getting to be a bigger and bigger job....add a water pump and rocker cover gasket to that. might have to set aside a weekend

Including the water pump and rocker seal, you should be able to get all this done in under a day, including the flywheel machine. (weekday job)

ok no worries, thanks for the help guys, the lift kit and big tyres are ganna have to wait a bit longer...

does it sound like a transformer? LOL
mine does it got really noisy on the weekend
im usually in mud/water to
let me know how you go.. im pretty sure my thrust bearing thats gone aswell
prob gonna be a big job while i got it all out might as well do the gearbox and T case as well i figure 8O

yeah.....i was hoping i'd be able to spend some time and money on a lift kit, bullbar, rear bar, all the good things....ahh well, at least ive got my driving lights :D
