I'm just wondering, Is it possible to setup a hand throttle by using a universal choke cable? Would it be connected to the throttle body or just off the pedal?

Yes it is possible. I have seem some pics of bike gearlevers/brakelevers also on the gearstick. I would connect it to the throttle body.

i reckon setting up the idle up solenoid on a switch would be the easiest way to go.
set it at around 2000rpm or so and just flick a switch.

I have been thinking of doing this for a while to my Sierra, as the G16 is very touchy on the accelerator compared to the old G13 or F10.
Was looking at copying the choke on my fathers Diesel Hilux, has a sort of screw knob that uses a cable that simply moves the pedal. _________________ Clearance Hole Technology

I am allot more used to it now. Hence its one of those things I've put off, and put off, and put off.....etc etc

I am allot more used to it now. Hence its one of those things I've put off, and put off, and put off.....etc etc one day No idle up solenoid on EFI motors You connected up the electrical load pins from your ecu (goes to light, fan, AC circuits etc). Not much increase but can bring mine upto 1200rpm.

And the switch is already wired up.
(heater or parkers)

do it to the pedal near the fire wall. if you use a bike gear leaver that locks you not have cruise control
