Does Your Air Vent smell ?
When you switch your Air con on do you get the Scent of Damp wet Sogginess??
Here is a Quick Fix..
1. Buy a Can of Glen 20.(Glen 10 will do)
Any Scent as long as it is Glen 20 or Pino'clean Air disinfectant.
2.There is an Air Vent located at the Bottom of your windscreen. Under the Mesh Guard on the Out side of the Vehicle.
3. Wind Down (pop out) a rear window.
4. With The Car Switched on, Turn the Ventilation onto fresh with the A/C turned on and the Fan on 3 or full.. Get out of the Car and make sure no Fire source is in the car..(Cigarettes or anything like that)
5. Step around and Spray the Glen 20 into the Vent at the front of the Car at the Base of the Windscreen.. The Car Sucks in the Glen 20 which goes through the Ventilation system killing the Bacteria that releases that fowl odor.. Two , 2 second squirts on each side of the Vent should be sufficient.
If the Odour is strong, repeat the process..
6. Leave the Car to Idle with the fan on for 5 minutes to allow the Glen 20 to get blown into the cabin area.
Your Air Conditioner will smell like Glen 20 for a little while but it will have gotten rid of the Damp smell..
CAUTION : Do Not have Kids, Dogs or Food in the car when you do this.. The Glen 20 will be dispersed through the Air Ventilation system..
Air the Car Out after doing this...

So you are masking the dampness? Are you looking for the cause?

Dampness is caused when warm air moves over the Condensor and condensation occurs... Wash a shirt and leave it in the washing machine, it soon gets the same smell..
Dampness can occur when you turn the car off and the Condensation just sits there... Over time, Bacteria does Grow.. and the smell becomes more apparent.. Glen 20 not only hides the smell but kills the odor causing Bacteria...
Turning the Air Conditioner off 10 minutes from home can help stop the smell but by then the car gets pretty hot.

mmm AC I wouldn't know about it... My Vit doesnt have it..
But I have a similar problem with the heater. If I run the heater on Full Hot I get engine coolent smell through the vents. Must have a slight leek somewhere. Guess I'll worry about it again next winter..lol..
