hey all

my rear diff had a crack in it so the oil got out and killed the rear diff.

so i welded up the hole and put a diffrent diff centre in it.
then when for a drive and now the sierra is very very noise as soon as you get to 50kms you cant hear your sellfs think from the back.

and when your slowing down its very windy.
any ways just thinking if i put a new diff center will this fix the problem ?
all my mates think its my diff.

ps: if any body has a wide track diff center in melbourne plz pm me

thanks

I'd go with diff, but your wheel bearing's may be upset from being upset, when you pull the axle's out again, turn the bearing's in your hand, you should be able to feel if thay are buggered..

:P Meow!!

You could keep getting noisy one's, re build if you can, not always needed tho..
Diff can look "fine" but the case hardening could be damaged or worn on the bearing's, caused from shit oil or mud  .

mud's slippery, but for some reason bearing's don't run on it!!
