Yes I have, that is why I gave the er ???, it was the second reply that riled me a bit.

If bakerboy had read the whole lot, he would have seen what steve said, and IF he had half a brain would have ever so easily got what I was bein silly about.

Moving sound picture :thefinger:

gotta love internet arguments,

on a recent trip in the jimny i would have been lucky to get 220km to a tank, but i think there was something wrong with the injectors cause i was also losing power and at one stage it couldnt climb past a certain RPM. pumped my tyres up, got a little better mileage, put in 95 or 98 fuel and it was a little better. put in injector cleaner and it worked wonders.

now i can get about 300 km to a tank.

Cool. I have 2 vehicles that could do with an injector clean, so I might go get some tomorrow :D

STP Injector Cleaner got a good writeup years back on AutoSpeed.com. I used it semi-regularly in my wife's old EL Falcon which regularly gunked up injectors due to her driving it on LPG the whole time. Seemed to work pretty well and isn't expensive - though it's not the $1.95 bargain that Denzyl got the Valvoline for!

That's a cool link eldo, I thrashed my Vitara around town this week & got 12.6l per 100 kms, I might try to drive it a bit more sensibly & see what I get.

ok so this week i drove like a nanna thinking about fuel usage & i saved heaps

using eldo's link again i got 12.5l per 100 kms.

so driving like a grandpa didn't really save that much, instead of getting up in the top end of the rev range i was changing up at around 3500rpm & generally just putting around instead of giving it a fair bit of curry.

I find with my 1.3 carby that in city driving, unladen, it really doesn't matter how you drive it - uses about 11-11.5L/100k whether you're a grandpa or a hoon.

is it standard or modified?

larger tyres will make you odo read less kms than you're actually doing.

so this week... i didn't nanna it around as much, but i gave it a fair bit of curry here & there & i got 11.4L/100kms around town, this fuel economy thing confuses me.

i think i'll give up & just drive it... as i always thought i was getting a lot worse economy but really with the lift & tyres i'm running it's not bad at all

You really need to sort out your sex.

Nanna's mount kerbs and do 40 in every zone.
Pa's road rage and do 45 in every zone.

Gotta love those rebellious males...

I scream around, and get the same as putting around. I think she runs constantly rich atm. Oxy sensor is on the way..
