Hey mick,
I'm no expert in suzuki stuff as I've just bought my first zook today, but in my experience with efi transplants you will need to check your earth wires. Funny thing with efi is most earths want to go to the negative on the battery. Earth to chassis body or engine block just doesn't work.
Hope his helps.

Mate this is going to be pretty hard to diagnose over a computer screen. You may need to enlist the help of a sparky.
But one question.... Has it run in the sierra at all?

Hi, You right in a way, but there is ALWAYS an earth that has to go to the eng, it's always a grouped earth that will want to be on the inlet manifold..

nah it hasnt run yet, i earthed the group earth to the body so that may be causing me some dramas, ill earth it to the inlet manifold and see if that solves it

What wires did you splice into the Sierra loom?
What does the fuel pump do when you disconnect the start wire from the solenoid on the starter and turn the key to the on position and then to the start position?

the starter functions as i have that on the sierra cct along with the alternator. so it turns over but i get no spark and no injector pulse. the rest is baleno. starting to wonder if my camshaft position sensor is fucked. any good way to check? going 2 the wrecking yard 2moro to look at a baleno and maybe get some ideas. got a feeling my loom is wrong as it doesnt match any of the diagrams i have seen.

your loom should have a sticker with the part number of the loom on it , your ecu will also have a part number , if you give both of these part numbers to me , i can see if they are compatable

The starter should be on the Sierra loom, but their should also be a tap into that wire going to the computer.
Try what I said and disconnect the starter wire from the solenoid and turn the key to on and and then to start.
The fuel pump should run for a second or two when your turn the key to on, and then stop. Then when you turn the key to start it should run continuosly till you let off they key, then is should stop straight away.
This checks the power feeds to the ECU is correct.

is the vitara loom there are 3 or 4 wire going to the back top section of the inlet manifold just near where the brake vac line is.
these need to be on the car. i spent a few hours yesterday trying to work out why i had no spark. put them on and started it no problems

Wouldn't jump straight to conclusions that the cam sensor outta all things is buggered. Deffo if you think you wiring might be wrong. Last few posts are quite good, I'd try and follow their advise first. Check that the ECu is turning on the fuel pump etc (cam sensor will have nothing to do with this)
