Hi all,
Quick question for those in the know, anyone able to tell me if there are major differences between SV420 and earlier model Vitaras when it comes to rock slider fitment?
I know the SVs supposeduly have a wider chassis, is that the full length of the chassis hence causing sidesteps for an earlier Vit to stick out far too much?
cheers,
Kris

good question... maybe we need a measurement from the outside of the chassis to the inner part of the sill panel on the SV & SE vitara's, it's dark outside & i'm at "work" so i nominate you to measure the SV's + it's still early over there

if you could that would help...
can you measure from the chassis rail to the inside edge of the sill
this was the only pic i could find... the inner sill is covered but you get the idea

FWIW the sliders I picked up were for a GV, and they sit OK just proud of my 93 LWB sills.
Can't help with SV though.

ok, from the chassis to the lip that hangs down down off the sill, that distance 270mm. not sure if the sv420 have this lip or not, but if not ill go measure else where.
this is the lip that im talking about.

They are different.
The SV chassis are wider than the SE chassis. So the slider would sit 30mm? further out from the chassis on an SV if it was designed for a SE vit.
No biggy, but it may be enough to make them look shit
