hi, Was making a squealling noise on and off. turning corners ect. Braking would seem to fix it. So i assume its down to the metal on the pads. but theres a heap of meat left on the pads.

Wash all the mud off from around the caliper area and thought that will solve it. Did for ten mins then it returns

Any ideas???

im assuming the bearing may be shot..

Will i need a press or can i flog it out with a big socket??

Bearings for sure. Press would be better, but hammer and punch might get you through. Good luck. Shoot weaves a pm, he works at a bearing place, good prices and always gets it right.

if you had enough mud to wash off the calipers youll want to pull em off and clean em properly

gave up trying to bash it out. How much to get someone to press out?

I had a quote the other day from Pedders of $700 to change the rear bearings on the Vit. Local mechanic said maybe $500. Most of that of course is the labour, so if you've got everything apart it will be much much much less.

robbery? yeah its all pulled down and i got the bearing for $80
