What's the verdict?
Is there any other suitable coils to replace the OEM one that don't cost $200?

I'm currently replacing my ignition for not knowing it's history more than anything.
What high output coil would you recomend for a 1.3L sierra?
Is there any specific rotor button, cap, plugs that I should be looking for or will generic bursons/repco stuff suffice??
I assume if I earth the coil and dizzy properly as well as make sure power supply is good, I can't do much more without spending big $$ ?

if you have to replace it, jsut get a bosch transformer, MEC716 I think they are (or 717 whichever has the right end for the HT lead)

Here's a question thats on topic, but a newer model Zook, didnt want to start a separate thread on the same topic...
GV ignition systems, i think GV's have coil packs, i know Zook
coils are good, but is there another option other than OEM ?
Does opening up the spark gap work on GV's, or does it create problems ?
Would putting on better silicon HT leads be of any benefit for a GV ?

Time to pull the hood and take a look - see any HT leads under there?
There are no HT leads because the coil pack sits directly over the plug, and sticking with the OEM coil packs or a direct replacement is a very good idea - these coil packs are a little more than just an ignition coil, they also have the "ignitor" transistor built into them - use the wrong coil pack and you can either fry the coil pack, the ECU or both.
