My vitara clutch has a grinding sound when i push it in, and shudders when i take off until i let it out, only just started in the last week. any ideas? not sure whether there may be oil on the clutch or not.

Maybe throw out bearing, maybe a broken finger?

Oil will make it slip.

Clutch and bearings need to be looked at.

sounds like a dried throwout bearing to me as i have the same problem at the moment...
