hey guys chasing some fire wood, i read on the net your not allowed to use dead trees and so forth on double island for fires. so will need to take my own wood. im going for 4 nights so will be crazy but if you know of any let me know thanks :D

Im sure there is a few non-contributing forum members here that are dead wood and could do with a trim.

Seriously tho, do a search in google or whatever. There is places everywhere that specifically sell wood for burning. Even go to a servo and buy some bags of wood there, or look on the bags, find the company name, and buy direct.

come down to Adelaide, we've just had some hellish weather & there are trees down everywhere.

hey luke theres a house along the forest glen road right near the end where you can turn right to grammar school, from your place its on your right, they have heaps and a sign out the front for bags and trailer loads. Be cheapr then that shit at the servo near DI, that stuff burns out real quick.

Might be worth checking if you are required to burn milled timber only (DI being a national park and all)...

Here too..

I pulled up to one house where a tree fell down on their fence, the SES had already cut it up into a reasonable size and they were happy for me to take the wood from their yard. :)

The wood from servo's or bunnings is ok but not the best for a decent fire, It tends to sit there and smoulder.
