Im pretty sure all soft top vitaras have the same roof fittings with the hook bit on the front
Are you sure its not for a sierra, they have two press studs on the front

LoL i'm POSITIVE its not a sierra top (i own a sierra for one)
The funny thing is the older 89-94 soft top fits the newer model but the newer tops dont fit the older ones, someone here may have the set up and be interested in it

i think the "hook" idea is on the earlier model tops. in the bar that clips in over the front of the car, the roof has little plastic hooks that push in and slide sideways in to a groove in that front bar.
the later roof didnt have the plastic clips. it was the same bar, just with press studs on it instead.. although it still had the groove in it for the older style roof, they were not used on the newer tops..
or something like that my vitara and my GF's vitara were different. hers was plastic hooks, mine was press studs. i dont know if either were genuine suzuki tops. but mine had all the other straps to keep the back half tight when the "sun roof" was open, and hers didn't

well mine is 97 and definately does NOT have press studs anywhere. Perhaps this is more of suzukis 'uniformity' program?
