When i engage the drivers side hub, it turns past the "lock" arrow indicator by 1/2 inchor so. Is this a sign of anything wearing?

Where does the unlock position sit? Have you had them apart lately?

It should have a tiny ball to locate the turn dial on the inside of your hub.

Is the other one the same?

it could be the little detent ball & spring are seized in the dial.
