I paid $1000 for a LJ20 that had very very limited rust
I paid $1400 for a LJ50 that was roadworthy
I paid $600 for a one owner completly original LJ50 with all the bits on it
I paid $500 for a LJ80 hardtop that was chopped to a soft top
I paid $138 for a fibreglass LJ80 body and $100 for the rolling chassis
Just some figures to go by. But its your vehicle and you are certainly allowed to charge what ever you wish for it

Yeah, I know how many are around.
I know of at least 10 in Perth owned by mates of mine, and plenty more on farms in WA. They aren't as rare as you think.
You say yourself its completely rooted yourself, so $2k might be pushing it, but hey, you never know you might get lucky.

Lots of comments, but I must agree with hooki, pics do the talking, it could be too expensive or it could be a bargain if the soft top body is real good.
Tsar I have picked up some LJ's pretty cheap over the years as well but from what I understand those buys of yours were a long time ago, how many years has the LJ20 been sitting now. What do you need to get it going again, it would be good to see it on the road.
Ben_Sierra you may have 10 mates with LJ's but I am sure there not all for sale.
I guess an LJ is worth whatever someone will pay for it, I have bought them one for $100 and I have bought one for $6000.

Not that long ago
The LJ20 needs a battery and the brakes bleed and its roadworthy
II still see LJ's going for around the 1K mark that don't need to much work and shitters with tons of rust for $500
