Hey guys
Went to the wrekers today looking for power steering out of a vitara or jimny for my sierra. Thay only had a vitara set up but missing the pump so what i want to know is their a pump i can use off a diffrent car.

Any pump just about will do the job.

Ive always used the ford teardrop shaped type.

Failing that, do as canberramav suggested. Commodore ones are good also, pump/res in the single unit. That way you would only need to buy the the box really, for the price of hoses you would just get some new items made up, cheap insurance :wink: I just finished my conversion. BenT adaptor kit $250, various hoses and fittings for low pressure return with 4pk830 belt, $50. High pressure line $105. Gives you some idea anyway. Have fun, its is a pretty simple conversion.

thanks rusho i think i will go vit box and ea falcon pump and get new lines
or is commodore pump beter

6 of one, half a dozen of the other mate. Just see what fits/adapts easier for your needs 8)
