i wouldnt put it in a Suzuki. they are not a load carrying vehicle.
there is no point to putting it in a ute. by the time this product would be in effect most utes would be over its GVM.
just about all utes can take a payload of 1 tone. about 5 barrows of sand. they should be driven accordingly when loaded up. not thrown around a a race track.

not so true

yep most one tonners ie hilux triton holden ford will take the 1000 kg but they are far from nice to drive like this they sit real low on the arse and the front wheels steer more like rudders than wheels. upgrade the springs in the rear like i did and they still sit down when loaded but are much nicer to drive and give far better confidence in the load carrying capacity. the company's that produce these vehicles are trying to make them better to drive more like a family car etc even tho they are still effectively a work ute but for most punters out there the max load capacity is never even come close to so these companies are making them softer and softer to cater to the lowest common denominator.

to be honest tho if you want load carrying capacity every now and then or even all the time go for airbags more expensive for a reason they are shit tins better than any gimmick.

Macbear, from reading 99% of your posts your 2 cents worth is read as trying to justify your purchases.

My 2 worth, i bought ironman springs and they were lethal! Gave my rear shackles a vertical angle and if you stood on the rear of the vehicle you couldnt even get it to bounce.
Had them changed over, the sierra was skipping across the road.

I can see how some of my posts may come across that way... he he... i just like to very sure of the mods i buy, that they will work properly, and the right way for me, first time, and not find out they were wrong after i shell out money for them...

Sounds like they were the wrong spring rate/load capacity for your sierra... and this is exactly what i am trying to avoid for my GV, i do the research, i ask LOTS of questions, here and elsewhere, i check out reviews, i contact manufacturers directly, if they dont, or cant be bothered answering my questions, then they lose a sale... i dont have the coin to waste on something that wont work for me..... :?

I have ironman leaf packs and shocks in my sierra, hate them, way too stiff and my shackle angles are just about vertical, feels like you have been punched in the kidneys every time you drive around the block. I'm just waiting for my body lift to go in to make sure it still clears my 31's, then I'm taking 2 leaves out of each corner, hopefully that will improve it. Dunno what the spring rate is, coz they were already on the car when I bought it

General concensus :spelling?: is that Ironman is cheap crap. Personally, I would never by it again. Waste of
money and time.

100% imported and sourced from other manufacturers more likely. You never really know where their stuff comes from but for the prices they sell it for it is definitely made OS. If you go to their warehouses there are stacks of shipping containers full of parts being unloaded. They are a company with no conscience. Their stuff is cheap, you get what you pay for.

Airbag load assist kits is where its at for load carrying. best thing is you can run low psi when there is no load and it handles just like a normal vehicle.

MacBear, I won't bag you for buying Ironman gear or liking their product, that's what marketing is all about and you've been taken hook line and sinker. Read my bolded sections above again, this is not fact but it is information based on sources more reliable than a 4wd magazine. Companies like Ironman are doing well because they protect their product sources and suppliers under lock and key.

In the past I've sold hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Ironman gear and very rarely I got warranty issues. Their components like u-bolts, panhard rods, castor plates are awesome and very well priced. Their leaf spring suspension is over-engineered to be heavier because they don't want fucktards returning the kits because they didn't ask for the right springs in the first place. This makes them ok for trady utes and the like becasue you can load them up and they'll be fine.

On a sierra you just have to pull a couple leaves to make them ride nicely. I would have bought Ironman springs for my zook if the rears were a bit longer. I ended up going with EFS 65mm springs in the front becasue I had around 150kg worth of engine and gearbox in the front and it gave me a spot on 50mm lift (EFS 65mm lift and 50mm HD springs are the same part #)

And why are you getting so worked up man...you gotta accept that on a forum you will get conflicting info and opinions, take it like Elton John!

Personally I nearly fell of my chair laughing when I read your post about Ironman being 100% Australian made. They might use AUS BHP steel, thats been exported to Asia then produced and sold back to Ironman, who knows, my information is based on years of communication with their engineering and sales teams.

I don't even know why i bothered to reply...ironman is the cheapest shit on the market, in most situations it does the job, and occasionally they produce some good product lines, like the current shape GV suspension kit. B4T is putting this in his rig probably as we speak.

I've got no beef with Ironman, they are a well run company and were good to deal with 90% of the time. They offer a trade customer good margins which makes it attractive for people to onsell to retail, that's why you see heaps of it on Ebay and nearly every 4wd shop selling it, because there is good money in it compared to other suspension suppliers.
