hey guys im out harvey way and my transfer case is stuck in nutrel it wont budge
i need to get home today any ideas?

Pull the stick out and make sure the shift rods are aligned.
The right rail should be back and the left rail forward.
Your shifter sheet(bush) has most likely disintegrated otherwise you have major transfer dramas.

if i pull the gear stick out can i move these rods manualyy with pliers or something?

yep you will be able to use a long screw driver or pliers to move them into place the bush in the transfer will be rooted and need a new one

its easy take the boot off and use like 2 screw drivers and push down and twist the cap and then the gear stick will pop out and then useing the screw driver their will be 2 rods and make sure they make a square in the middle and you should be right to go or try put the stick back in and select your gear then

another questoin do i have to drop the transfer or can i go through the top
also dose the stick twist out or is there something holding it on

through the top.
when you get the boot off there is a cap
just turn that anti clockwise whilst pushing down
should come out and then you can pull gear stick out

it is when they have never been done before after that they should last a while are you getting them off bruce?? i got mine from him no problems at all

good to see you got going glad to help  now get hold of bruce on here and get a new bush for it and while your at it get the gear box bush to nd do them both at the same time

replace both bushes champ bruce sells em and you will never have another issue for a long time mine was disintegrated when i took my stick out now its nice and tight and shifts good id recommend doing both bushes gear box and transfer as they are a cheap part
