hey. I am looking into swapping my 98 coily chassis for my old 92 leaf chassis my question is i liv in qld and was wondering if it whould fit first but is it leagal to make such mods.

Yes it will fit.
Swap the body plates too and register it as a 92.

The chassis normally determines what year the car is in body swaps reguardless..

Just as an example on what i was going through on my project, 00'jimny chassis/88'sierra lwb tub.... = 00'jimny.
