Hey guys,

need help, trail arm bushes on my 96 SJ80 Coily are wrecked, need some new ones. Loooking at Nolathene, but cant find anything local in brisbane/sunny coast. Can anyone help?? where can i get them etc.

at the moment the car is stock. but looking into suspension mods and a mate has said i will be better off with Nolethane bushes, as they need replacing now i thought i might as well replace them with the Nolethane ones as that will be one less thing i need to do in the future.

they are seeming to be pretty hard to find though..

Nolethane has aparently caused issues for people with coilys. i.e death wobbles, cracking of diff brackets, etc.

rubber ones are a safer bet.

Mate nolathane will be fine. There is a company on eBay that sells the set. I just putthese in and theyvare great. They do limit flex and also pit more stress on the welds of the arm to diff. These have cracked on others that give there's a hard time.

Stick with genuine, no point mucking with what works all the time, urethane on these is pretty hit an miss, plus the wear out pretty quick

i would never use any type of plastic bushes on a car again after puting them in my coily.
the arms twisted before the bush moved not a good idea if u ever want to go off road in it
i was thinking of trying a johnny joint in the chassis end to stop the twisting strees going into the arm but never got round to it

Poly bushes aren't too good for your arm mounts. IMO they are no more resistant to splitting then rubber ones if used a lot off-road. If you still want them though give SuziAuto Springwood or Suzisport Lawnton a call, or maybe PM Bruce. He might be able to make some at a cheaper price.

IMO you are better off looking for second-hand Jimny arms with decent rubber bushes still in them, or getting new genuine rubber ones.
