You reckon a 4.0L V8 conversion would be popular amongst vitara owners??

190kw and 350Nm  That would tear a sierra OR vitara appart

Perhaps we could hire a suzuki engineer to do what they do best.......de-tune the motor till there is sweet FA power left

4agze is easy 4a-fe is i little more fab work. It would be easier to use 16v injected engine. But easy is for the feint hearted isn't this a 4x4 forum. Things are easier with sierra to do engine swaps purely because of the seperate t\case's. But its still pretty fuckin easy with the vit. The reason the 4a-fe is harder to fit is because of the plenum and throttle body they will face the fire wall and almost be imposible to plumb. I have heard of people who have the plenum cut down and reversed it but that's kind of bodgey due to toyota engines being very tempremental in regards to air flow but that is easily fixed as most engine swaps usually involve an aftermarket ecu. Or track down a plenum of a sprinter Eg: ae86. I'm currently getting the parts together for the 4agze swap and i think its a very viable option maybe not so much an using the 4a-fe the reason i say this is the 4agze has more power\horsepower and torque hands down than all the factory options that suzuki have to offer including the grand vitara v6. If you have a good look at the two engines you will start to see simularity's. Anyways this isn't rocket science its a fourby even rocket science isn't as hard as some people are making out this swap to be In the words of chopper (harden the fuck up)

You talk like you know what you are doing but in fact it appears you only know what you have read about because from what you say you havn't even done the conversion yet. It is again obvious that you are a forum reader with nil experience when you say that there is more fab work to do 4AFE than 4AGE because in fact they have the same bellhousing stud patern and the engine mounts come off the block in the same position. Cutting plenum's has nothing to do with the problems involved with the conversion, that is a minor part and is done all the time since rear wheel drive manifolds are just about impossible to get. You say you have heard of people cutting down plenum's well I can go one better, I have done it a number of times and I can assure you that when it is done in the right way KW's and drivability are un affected.

No one said it was impossible, everyone was pointing out the obstacles that need to be overcome. You said a lot but actually said nothing about what you intend to do re bellhousing, clutch, pressure plate. So instead of talking around the subject if you have something to add that may be of interest or benifit then enlighten us on what you intend to do, or is this just a wantabe project, we get lots of those on the forum, talk talk talk...no action..

Oh and by the way quoting something said by a loser, criminal, freak, who cuts himself for attention does not do your credibility any favours.
