Hey guys i'm sure you avid drivers out there like to meander around in relative comfort, so you are the guys to ask.

I just lifted my little fella (only 2"). It has gotten rid of the bone jarring from some of the big bumps but now it just feels like i am driving around on springs...literally. The only time im not bobbing is when i'm stopped.

NOTE: Also had to remove swaybar (damaged???) but i dont think that would fix the bouncy bouncy.

So the question is, what seats easily slot into the jimny rails to offer a little more comfort? I read in last months Custom Guide that aparently Swift seats are quite comfortable.

Must admit when I first got my OME 40mm lift it felt like I was bobbing around alot but now that it has been there a while I don't even notice it.
Maybe you could get some padded custom made seat covers.

Yeah...not totally happy with the seats i have already anyway. Very hard and i can clearly feel the frame bars on my lower back.

But it surely does make sense.

I find my seats quite comfortable. What year Jimny is yours Mitch. Mine is a 2008 model so not sure if the quality changed from the earlier ones. Also, my build might suit these seats better (5' 7" , 72kg).

Mine is a 98 model and i am 6ft 96kg. Little different.

Sounds like a shock absorber problem rather than a seat problem. It will cost you less to experiment with shock absorbers than to fit quality seats, so I'd be starting with the shocks.

Swapping a cheap Japanese factory seat for a different cheap Japanese factory seat isn't going to give you significant improvement in comfort or support, and neither is buying $200 aftermarket seats.

You'll want to look at second hand Recaro, second hand premium European seats (like E36 BMW Sport seats, or Porsche seats) or new Recaros to get a seat that's been designed up to a standard rather than down to a price.

PS also ensure you driving position is correct. Factory seats are often better than people give them credit for once you are sitting in the correctly.

To set squab position - bring the squab forwards until you can full depress the clutch with your RIGHT leg (Yes, really, your right leg)

Move the backrest until the steering wheel falls at the crease between your wrist and palm, with your shoulders pressed back into the seat.

This is closer to the wheel than most people drive, but once you get used to it it's much more comfortable.

Yeah i'm near 100% sure it isn't my driving position. I'm a truck driver for a living. We have guys come through regularly to make sure we are sitting right so shit don't go wrong.

The base of the seat aint too bad. Its the back rest. I think it has just had it the cushion isn't sitting over the support rails ( ie diggin into back), so a milk crat would be better at this stage.

The only thing i am not sure of is, with replacing seats do you need to pick certain seats for the rail widths or will anything do?
