A 1.6 into a Sierra in Queensland is easily legal. I think It's just a drive in, get it inspected, get a mod plate and drive out.
As opposed to Tassie, where it's put in paperwork, wait 3 months for approval, talk to engineer, do conversion, get it inspected by engineer, then take in paperwork to get mod plate.

Its the most common conversion at the moment. So i can't see it being a problem.
