Hi all, first up, what's the point with the soft top? on first inspection it seems it does not fold down, so in order to have no roof you have to remove it completely, now the difference between a hard top and soft top is what they are made out of right? is there a way to fold it down? or will i have to purchase another type of soft to to enjoy what you get out of a soft top ie folding it

also my spotlights all of a sudden reflect big spots of sun at everyone, this didn't happen before, one theory i have (which someone might know is true or not for sure) is that the tiny little "hella" logo's in the middle were actually blocking the sunlight once it bounced around inside the reflector bit? if that's the cause i'll get some more cause i sprayed mine off in the carwash by accident,

also i need to replace something in my rear suspension it bottoms out alot, the springs are dead straight i'm unsure if they are worn or just cause they are stock, is there springs that i can get might flex a bit more, maybe a little taller, not requiring new shocks and the front all lifted aswel? i will eventually lift the car, but the rear end needs attention now, bottoms out on the road and stupid speed bumps my camry will glide over and it's shocks are rooted

also what exactly is required for the falcon alternator thing, i've found mixed answers through searching and would like the most straightforward install

yes you have to remove it completley. budget 4wd's made in the mid 80's didnt put have folding soft top high on the spec list. soft tops are cheap, fibreglass tops are $500+ these days

a sticker...you're kidding arent you? do you know how a parabolic lens works?
they are probably aimed too high...point them lower.

your springs are stuffed and shocks are too. someone will have some cheap/free rear springs im sure.

The 'point of the softtop' is its removable when required, yet when coverage is needed, said coverage can be obtained..
you want a foldable softtop!?
By an MX5..
or REMOVE your current top and fold it nicely, they are nice n square when you do it correctly.. thats a foldable top..
a Hardtop, or fibreglass top is a leave at home item if you want to be topless.. no folding there!

You sure this is the spotlights!? I get a large glare to either the left or the right(depending on the sun position)... its off the windscreen thou.. try a search for sunglare, I dont think there is any cure for it.. but its fun to try and pull up at lights and see who you can 'spot' coming the opposite way.. make it a game.. id be inclined to get some proper covers rather than stickers if thats the option you want to take, stickers wont stop rocks or road debris hgitting the glass and chipping it or breaking it..

dude, its a Sierra.. there are quiet a few shock and suspension threads around, with various outcomes from numerous companys.. could be a number of things, we really cant help without knowing some specific details about the current setup.. but it does sound like rooted springs n shocks..

So i guess it's a cheaper option, and if you do remove it you can at least bring it along unlike the fibreglass one, okay so, how does it remove from the windscreen? and can i get some sort of quick release thing where it removes from the b pillar? is there instructions for folding? some sort of bag to keep it in?

oh and the gf has a soft top NA Eunos Roadster, import mx-5 it's wonderfull little car

As for the parabolic lens, no i don't, it was an idea based on what i had changed prior to the glare happening,

the stickers wouldn't be to protect the lens it's a little "hella" one in the middle, as for covers i've been looking for the right ones but they are hard to come by without lights, i need hella comet 500 ones, cause i'd hate them to say rallye 1000 if they weren't that light, like a chev badge on a holden = wrong

Okay so for future reference "flat" springs are buggered, and yes true there is probably heaps of threads around, i tagged this on to my question basically because i had started listing things thought i should keep going get all the answers in one go,

i also assumed that searching would turn up with 10 thousand results on lifts, most of which have things that are complicated or go more custom then i would like to with my zook

most likley if u used presure washer on ur spottys they have moved rolled backwards casing the sun to reflext off
