Hi Guys,
I just recently bought a 1990 Vitara Soft Top and I'm looking at replacing it with a removeable hard top. Does anyone know where I can get one or does anyone have one for sale?
From what I've seen these are rare items, either that or I'm a poor searcher.
Anyway thanks in advance, I'll do a post soon with my car and I'll also tell you about recovering Landcruisers hehe

You are correct. Very rare! But they do come up from time to time. Keep your eye on ebay, and have cash ready!!
Or buy new from the states like I did

Hey, thanks for the hints. How'd you go with shipping from the states? Dollar's good at the moment so I might look into that. I found one place in aus that wanted $2500 for one, told him he was dreaming.

New? Did he have it in stock? I rang around EVERYWHERE looking for a new one here!
And mine ended up costing me $2K anyway by the time the shipping co.'s and customs etc took all their fees.

Hey thanks for the info guys. I'll think about the other car but I might just make do for now. i don't really know why I want one, I've just got it in my head that a hard top would be more practicle.
Fatzook, here's the only one I found. I don't know any more info than what it says.

Nah none of them are working, it seems pretty dodge. Puts me of looking into buying anything from them.
I noticed that Calmini have Hardtops for $940 plus postage - I've emailed them for a quote. I'll let you know.

Thought I'd give this one a bump in the small hope that I might be able to find one.
Or
If anyone has a Vitara for sale with a removable hardtop for the right price I'll take it.
