Hey everyone,
Haven't been around much lately so I hope everyone is well, life has been extremely hectic.
I 'm pretty sure this question has been asked a few times already on AZ but i can't seem to find anything with the search button so here goes.
Lately me 1999 G13BB Jimny is extremely hesitant to start at running temp.
So basically if I get home and turn it off for a couple of minutes and then try and start it again the bastard just wont fire up.
I've tried with no throttle at turn key then I've even tried a few tabs at the pedal at turn key and then she just farts and is even more bloody hesitant to fire up. (flooding possibly)
Do ya think it is just the heat sensor maybe.....?
She doesn't overheat or use any coolant so my theory is the heat sensor......... or even the cam sensor?
Fuck no's, help me out fellows.

give the starter solenoid a hit with a big stick or a tap with a crowbar before you try starting and see if it fires right away...
my sierra is doing the same right now (runs g13bb top end) and its the starter solenoid has some moisture in there... i think with the heat its steaming up and stopping it working. A nice whack frees it up and its all good again.

If the starter is cranking then no need to hit the starter solinoid. Sounds like a cam position sensor to me. _________________ Lil Foot!

ohhhh... nar mine has no starter for a split second before it kicks in... or no starter at all until i get out and poke it with a stick =P
something else to check is your immobiliser wiring or the immobiliser itself (if the sensor thing doesnt fix it).

I'm thinking cam sensor too Woody, Ive got an old one here you're welcome to try and see if it makes a difference, let me know.
